CAAS has approximately 200 members in Coos Bay, North Bend, Bandon, Reedsport, Lakeside, Myrtle Point, Coquille, and Florence. We also have dedicated friends and members as far afield as Portland and The Dalles.
If you join National Audubon and you live in or around Coos County, you automatically become a member of our chapter. Although we receive a small portion of the fees that go to National, we encourage you to pay the local membership fee of $20 per year as well, or renew your membership with us. You will find a membership form in the copy of our most recent newsletter, The Tattler.
Your membership dues help defray costs of this website, production of our newsletter, and many other miscellaneous supplies for our activities, such as the projects at Pony Creek and Millicoma Marsh, plus the summer shorebird festival.
For your membership, you gain the unending gratitude of all of us involved in the chapter, plus a copy of the "Cape Arago Tattler"—online or printed—with news about the chapter, field notes to keep you up-to-date on current bird sightings, and the phantasmagorical prose of our one-and-only president Eric Clough.
Thank you!
